Lydia Carlisi

Lydia Carlisi teaches Music Theory at the University of Music of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. Between 2015 and 2019 she has been teaching Music Theory and Ear Training at the HfM Freiburg (DE) and the HfM Karlsruhe (DE).
She completed a Master in Music Theory in Freiburg under Prof. Dr. Ludwig Holtmeier. During this time, Lydia was awarded a DAAD scholarship. Previously she studied in Rome (Università di Roma 2) under Prof. Giorgio Sanguinetti. Lydia is completing her Ph.D. at the HfM Freiburg (advisors Prof. L. Holtmeier and Dr. C. Bacciagaluppi) on the French reception of partimenti. Her Ph.D. project was funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation as part of the “Neapolitan Canon” project at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. Since August 2021 she is part of the SNF Cherubini project.
